ASAE Receives 2014 International Diversity Innovation Award for its Association Inclusion Index
Windham, NH (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- Dynamic Benchmarking, a provider of customized online benchmarking survey and reporting solutions, is pleased to announce that our client, The Center for Association Leadership (ASAE), has been awarded the 2014 International Diversity Innovation Award for its Association Inclusion Index. This award-winning benchmarking tool is the first and only diversity and inclusion measure of its kind designed specifically for the nonprofit sector.
Each year, Profiles in Diversity Journal recognizes companies, nonprofits and government agencies that have created innovative programs to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This year, 29 organizations were profiled and ASAE ranked 7th overall and was the only nonprofit organization to be honored. This follows the CEO in Action Award received by ASAE President and CEO, John Graham, in 2013 for his extensive efforts to develop a culture of diversity and inclusion within ASAE that, ultimately, culminated with the development of the Association Inclusion Index.
“Many nonprofit organizations out there today have 10 or fewer full-time employees,” says Graham. We wanted every organization to know your employee base doesn’t need to be a certain size for you to make gains in diversity and inclusion.”
User-friendly and affordable, the Association Inclusion Index allows nonprofit leaders to compare their Diversity and Inclusion performance to that of their peers using a secure, web-based portal. Users answer questions about their programs and receive instant quantitative and qualitative results that can be used to inform the direction and key priorities of their program.
“Now, instead of benchmarking against corporate practices, nonprofit member organizations can assess the absence or presence of D+I policies and practices against nonprofit community standards and chart a way forward,” says Alexis Terry, ASAE Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion. “We break the topics into five areas to create ‘bite-sized’ topics you can learn from. We also take all of the guesswork out of data analysis and interpretation, and provide actionable insights immediately.”
“Diversity and inclusion continue to be hot-button issues for organizations around the world,” comments Betsy DelFosse, Dynamic Benchmarking Co-Founder and Chief Operations and Technical Development Officer. “It is an honor to contribute to ASAE’s efforts to make instituting and improving these programs easier for their members.”
