Online benchmarking tool furthers organization strategic plan to increase diversity and inclusive participation within the field of association management
WINDHAM, NH – September 16, 2013 - Dynamic Benchmarking, a provider of dynamic online benchmarking and reporting solutions for associations, today announced that it has launched a first of its kind, cloud benchmarking and diagnostic tool for The Center for Association Leadership (ASAE). The Association Inclusion Index will gather data on the diversity and inclusion philosophies, policies and practices of member organizations in an effort to not only benchmark performance in these areas, but provide strategies and solutions for improvement as part of ASAE’s Diversity + Inclusion Strategic Plan.
ASAE returned to Dynamic Benchmarking to develop this online benchmarking tool as part of its continuing effort to provide support and resources to help human resources, membership, and volunteer teams attract, involve and retain diverse talent pools for their organizations. The Association Inclusion Index allows trade and professional associations to assess how their Diversity and Inclusion concepts, policies and practices measure up against community standards. Dynamic Benchmarking developed the organization’s compensation and benefits benchmarking study, Association Compensation Interactive, in 2012 and was re-engaged to develop this one-of-a-kind, diagnostic platform.
“Dynamic Benchmarking has continued to impress us with their professionalism and depth of engagement,” comments Sharon Moss, ASAE Chief Research Officer. “They fully immersed themselves in the unique subject matter of our Diversity + Inclusion Strategic Plan, partnering with us and our external research team to identify and address challenges and then applied the technology to create the best possible solution for achieving our plan objectives.”
The Association Inclusion Index is the first online, diagnostic tool of its kind to allow associations to assess their progress in implementing diversity and inclusion practices within their association. Focused on five, key diversity and inclusion performance domains – Mission and Focus, Roles and Leadership Accountability, Resources, Operations, and Communication and Culture – the user answers a series of questions and receives a score indicating their performance in each domain. Additionally, these scores are explained in depth, and strategies and solutions for improving performance in each area are provided.
“The Association Inclusion Index is an exciting and unique tool,” states Betsy Delfosse, Dynamic Benchmarking Founding Partner and Chief Operations & Technical Development Officer. “Not only does it allow for measurement and comparison of key performance indicators, it provides immediate access to tools and resources for improvement, allowing the organization to act quickly on knowledge gained to better their performance.”
Currently, the platform is in the data collection stage. ASAE anticipates having enough information to release comparison and trend results to its members in 2014. Index users will then be able to compare their scores and answers to other associations using a variety of filters to generate customized reports.
