New benchmarking study provides immediate and customizable reporting on key performance indicators for maintenance operations at multi-site retail facilities

WINDHAM, NH (PRWeb) – July 27, 2017 - Dynamic Benchmarking, a provider of customized online benchmarking and reporting solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of a new maintenance operations study for the Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM). This study will provide immediate and customizable reporting on key performance indicators for retail facilities maintenance professionals across the U.S.

PRSM serves a diverse membership of retail facilities maintenance professionals who oversee the maintenance of multi-site retail operations ranging from Wal-Mart to Tiffany’s. PRSM has conducted numerous benchmarking studies for its members, but all have resulted in static reports that took months to produce. These studies simply didn’t provide the true peer-to-peer comparison of operations in the timely manner PRSM members needed.

“The facilities maintenance industry is changing rapidly due to improvements in technology. Our members need reliable and fresh industry data to justify investments in these technologies,” explains Bruce Condit, PRSM Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs. “We want to provide something more precise than a typical survey with static results. Dynamic Benchmarking provides a live platform that delivers a snapshot of the industry at any given time with the exact information our members need.”

The new study, the Retail Facilities Maintenance Industry Overview Benchmarking Survey, launched on May 9, 2017, to all PRSM Primary Members managing multi-site retail maintenance operations. Intended to report on the state of the retail multi-site maintenance industry and profession, results include, but are not limited to, department organization, physical characteristics of stores, maintenance expenses, and supplier management. Data thresholds are in place for each question to ensure that a minimum number of responses have been received before releasing question results. These thresholds secure the anonymity of respondents and ensure that the results are relevant. All results can be filtered to provide customized reporting in minutes, including professional-grade graphics for inclusion in presentations.

“Studies like this provide our members with the means to justify investment  in new technologies and methodologies,” adds Condit. “Not only do they have the means to show that operations like their own are making these investments, they can also show the return on investment those operations achieved using the data and reports from this new study.”

To date, feedback from study participants has been quite positive. Members are impressed with the types of data being delivered as well as the flexibility and accuracy of the reports they can generate.

“As an organization, we are excited by what we’ve seen so far from Dynamic Benchmarking,” adds Condit. “We look forward to seeing more results and expanding usage of the tool for our members’ benefit.”
