DB Delivers First-of-Its-Kind Operational Study

Nov 11, 2016 9:30:00 AM

Interactive survey is designed to identify and improve best practices in safety for members of the nation’s leading organization for safety advocacy

WINDHAM, NH (PRWeb) November 15, 2016 - Dynamic Benchmarking, a provider of customized online benchmarking and reporting solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of a nationwide operational safety study for the National Safety Council (NSC). The first, and only, one of its kind, this benchmarking survey will collect, analyze and compare the policies, budgets, training and other safety practices of the organization’s 50,000 members.

As the nation’s leading safety advocate for over 100 years, the National Safety Council saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy. Working to make the world measurably safer, NSC advances this mission by engaging businesses, government agencies, elected officials and the public to help prevent the fifth leading cause of death in the U.S. – unintentional injuries.

Spurred by demand from its members, NSC contracted with Dynamic Benchmarking to create an operational best practices study to collect, analyze and compare the policies, budgets, training and other safety practices of its members.

“Much of our work is data driven, relying on research to inform best practice solutions to safety issues,” says NSC Director of Member Services, Ingrid Schoen. “Benchmarking allows our members to compare their efforts to their peers, providing valuable insight into new ways of improving their safety practices.”

With a desire to officially launch the study at their national Congress and Expo, the project timeline was tight. However, in less than three months, Dynamic Benchmarking was able to deploy the fully functional and feature-rich platform in time for the event.

“Our annual Congress is the largest gathering of safety professionals in the world,” adds Schoen. “This was clearly our best opportunity to unveil this new benefit to our members and inspire them to make use of it.”

Member response to the new platform was extremely positive. The access to peer-to-peer comparison of real-time data is unlike anything they’ve been able to use in the past, and all members who’ve used it have found it extremely easy to use. Additionally, the creation of private peer groups for use by insurance companies and their customers was well received.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the ease of implementation and how quickly the study came together,” concludes Schoen. “The platform is so easy to use and will surely become a highly-valued resource to our members.”
