Fitness & Fun - An Enjoyable Time at The ASAE 2016 MM&C Conference

Jun 20, 2016 9:00:00 AM
Each year we attend the 2016 ASAE Marketing, Membership & Communications Conference,  we’re always impressed by the new trends, technologies and strategies for improving member engagement and interaction that are presented. This year was no exception. We logged many thousands of steps as we traversed the convention center trying to take in as much as we could during our short time there. Of special inspiration to our team was the keynote address by Brian Bordainick, whose tale of adventure and innovation left us believing that truly, with the right direction, #AnythingIsPossible. Some of the other highlights of the show for us were:
  • Learning what CEOs value about marketing, membership and communications
  • What goes into developing successful mobile applications and websites for better member engagement
  • Promoting a culture change in associations that shifts thinking of membership as a product and members as consumers
  • Tips on building member trust through marketing efforts
  • Stories that shared the secrets behind the successful campaigns of Gold Circle Award winners

And of course the excitement of having POTUS, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and other exciting leaders in the same building (even if it was for a different conference!).

We hope you had a chance to stop by our booth to see the latest innovations in our benchmarking platform as well as hear how our customers are using the data gleaned from our platforms to improve their organizations as well as that of their members. We enjoyed speaking to everyone who stopped by, especially our raffle winners who each brought home a brand-new Jawbone UP2 Fitness Tracker! Congratulations again to:

  • Matthew Glaser from the National Association of Chemical Distributors
  • Stephen McKinney of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals
  • Shelby Truxon of SWANA
  • Susan Merther of Water Environment Federation

As we walked around the show, we also took plenty of pictures of new friends and old. Take a look at our Flickr album below and please feel free to share!

Until next time, we’re going to go rest our aching feet and hope that you get to do the same!
