It’s that time of year when the sun starts to peek through more often, flowers bloom and trees start to bud. The Dynamic Benchmarking team has been enjoying the fresh, warmer air as they give back to the community while getting out and about to meet more new clients and prospects.

Dynamic Benchmarking is proud to announce the launch of the DB Hive, a place where our customers can come together to share ideas and resources for improving the performance of their benchmarking studies. The DB Hive was developed based on feedback from our customers who were looking for ways to connect with others who use the Dynamic Benchmarking platform to enhance member engagement and collect industry data.
“We want to provide a means to bring our customers together to share both the challenges and successes they’ve had developing and maintaining their benchmarking studies” says Sally Greene, Dynamic Benchmarking Project Manager. “By sharing their stories and strategies, it is our hope that they can learn from each other.”
A series of webinars and roundtable discussions, the first DB Hive webinar was held on March 8th and featured three of our customers speaking about their experiences with the DB platform.
- Casey Sclar of the American Public Gardens Association spoke about the importance of getting buy in from the top down and the bottom up and how to tap into the expertise of subject matter experts.
- Kristen Spriggs of National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies addressed best practices in the benchmarking platform and how to secure industry sponsors to help defray costs.
- Stephen Neel from the Global Cold Chain Alliance shared their story about the importance of streamlining their survey to improve member value and increase participation

Member engagement is the holy grail of association success. A highly engaged member base leads to greater member satisfaction which in turn leads to higher retention rates. Unfortunately, creating opportunities for positive and relevant member engagement is not always easy, even when it comes to clearly valuable member benefits like benchmarking. Convincing busy professionals to set aside time to collect and submit data has long been a challenge for associations. Even once that hurdle has been cleared, finding ways to share that data in a way that encourages members to engage with each other can still be difficult.
