More associations turn to benchmarking innovator as member demand for better industry data becomes a must-have resource
As 2017 comes to a close, we are able to look back with a sense of considerable accomplishment. Our first-ever New Member Engagement Study concluded with greater success than we ever could have imagined. We’ve also been heartened to see one of our clients share news of its data being applied to influence a real world situation. All this makes us look forward to 2018 with great joy and enthusiasm with the thought of all that can be accomplished in the New Year.

The opening statement of the Federal Trade Commission Guide to Antitrust Law — and the reason antitrust laws were established in the first place, is to ensure that no single entity holds all the power over a particular market, that our country continues to provide an environment where all businesses have a fair and equal chance at succeeding, and that consumers are offered a choice of innovative, fairly-priced, quality products and services. At Dynamic Benchmarking, we could not believe more in this primary pillar of our modern economy and seek to support it by helping associations share knowledge and best practices within and across industries. But when does the exchange of information cross the line from helpful to unfair advantage?

October has seen us on the road, sealing deals, closing our first-ever original research study and being eternally grateful for the wonderful customers with which we’re surrounded. It may be a little early, but this month has us thinking about how truly thankful we are.

The Latest on Our New Member Engagement Study
Our New Member Engagement Study officially opened in early August, just prior to our attendance at the ASAE Annual Meeting & Expo. We were so pleased by the warm reception of and genuine interest shown by so many of our partners, vendors and attendees at the ASAE Annual Meeting & Expo. Thank you to the many associations who have already shared their data with us. ASAE Annual Meeting & Expo 2017 Recap

Having joined Dynamic Benchmarking about 6 months ago, this year’s ASAE Annual Meeting & Expo was my first. While I had attended the ASAE Marketing, Membership, & Communications Conference in Washington, DC in May, it didn’t prepare me for the overwhelming size of the Annual Meeting in Toronto. I had a hint of what was to come during the opening party at the Royal Ontario Museum where the entire museum was dedicated to ASAE - wow! My favorite part of the evening was the beautiful outdoor space outfitted with fire pits, marshmallows for s'mores, and musicians playing while we enjoyed an absolutely perfect night under the stars. As I soaked it all in I thought to myself, “This group knows how to put on an event!”
